Alec Baldwin married his 28-year-old yoga instructor fiancé Hilaria Thomas in a church ceremony last Saturday (Jun 30) in New York City.
Prior to his wedding, the 54-year-old actor tweeted, “Was bridal e’er like this? A paradise, the host, And cherubim and seraphim The most familiar guest,” which was taken from an Emily Dickenson poem.
The nuptials, performed by Rev. George Deas, took place at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. The new Mrs Baldwin wore “a silk magnolia Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons,” the Associated Press reported, while Baldwin’s suit was designed by Tom Ford.
In addition to his family members, some of Baldwin’s Hollywood friends attended the happy event, including his brother Stephen Baldwin, his “30 Rock” co-star Tina Fey and director Woody Allen. Once the ceremony was complete, the festivities continued at New York University’s Kimmel Center, where the couple held their reception.
Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas started dating last year, and were engaged by April of this year. Baldwin was previously married to actress Kim Basinger; they have a daughter, Ireland, who attended the wedding Saturday in a slate silk chiffon gown also designed by Amsale.
Photos of the newlyweds will appear in this week’s issue People Magazine.
