Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary over the weekend by renewing their wedding vows in Paris, France, which is nicknamed the “City of Love & Lights.”

Cannon — who is recovering after experiencing a series of medical problems earlier this year — wore a white tux, while Carey showed off her slimmed down post-baby bod, wearing a white mermaid-inspired gown and a huge diamond necklace.

Using the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, Nick got down on one knee and re-proposed to his wife and mother of his twins. After exchanging vows, the happy couple had dinner at Le Jules Verne restaurant on the Eiffel Tower.

The couple also have another reason to celebrate. Today (Mon. Apr 30) is Moroccan and Monroe’s first birthday!

Renewing their vows has become a tradition for Mariah and Nick, who got married in April 2008 on Carey’s private island in the Bahamas.

Last year, they renewed their vows in the NYC hospital where their twins were born, and the year before that in 2010, Mariah wore a traditional wedding gown when she and Nick renewed their vows at their Beverly Hills home.

“I have to do it every single year,” Cannon explained about the yearly vow renewals. “If you were married to Mariah Carey, you’d want to marry her every year too! I just have to keep doing it to make sure it’s real.”
