Singer Chynna Phillips and her professional dance partner Tony Dovolani were voted off “Dancing with the Stars” last night (Tue. Oct 11).

Phillips and reality TV personality Rob Kardashian had both been in jeopardy of being eliminated.

“I’m disappointed, I’m sad. But I have to take responsibility, I messed up,” she said, thanking her pro partner, Tony Dovolani and the fans who voted for her.

Phillips had been in a three-way tie near the bottom of the scoreboard, alongside Chaz Bono and Nancy Grace, after a disappointing tango last night in which she forgot the choreography and failed to properly execute the steps.

Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli commended Phillips for completing the routine, but they acknowledged that her performance had suffered, and awarded her 21 out of a possible 30 points.

In the weeks of the competition leading up to last night, Phillips had been praised for turning in graceful performances but had been encouraged to display more passion when the dance called for it.

Despite her early exit, Phillips was quite affable during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following her departure.

“I can’t believe I don’t have dance class tomorrow! Do you know how grueling that show is?” Phillips asked Kimmel.

Kimmel then went on to explain his theory, which he also told reality TV star Kristin Cavallari after she was eliminated last week – that if you’re too attractive you’ll see an early exit from ‘Dancing.’

Phillips agreed, and added, “I am not gonna let know my works out go — “Dancing with the Stars” literally saved my butt!”

Phillips went on to tell how doing “Dancing” was her husband actor William Baldwin’s idea.

“I said if you can get me on “Dancing,” then I’ll do it. If I win you get a vasectomy,” she said. “He said if you get into finals, then I can’t vote for you anymore …. So baby number four might be on the way!”

Phillips also revealed that her partner Dovolani, who did not appear on “Kimmel” with her, had sprained his ankle and had to go to the emergency room. She didn’t miss the opportunity, however, to sing his praises.

“Tony Dovolani is an amazing teacher, he taught me things I thought I’d never ever accomplish,” Phillips said.
