We already know rapper Lil Wayne will be performing at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards … but now singers Adele and Chris Brown have been added to the bill!

MTV News reports:

This will mark the first time that Adele has graced the VMAs stage. The British chanteuse is up for seven nods for her emotional “Rolling in the Deep” video, including Best Female Artist, Best Pop Video, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Editing and the night’s big prize, Video of the Year.

Brown will return to the stage, after making his unforgettable VMA debut back in 2007. His eye-popping video for “Look at Me Now,” which features Wayne and Busta Rhymes, is up for multiple Moonmen at the big show, including Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration.

“I am excited about my nominations and to be back on the VMA stage,” Brown said in a statement. “I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans.”

Wayne himself is also slated to take the stage. He’s got some big nominations up for grabs at the show including best Hip-Hop Video for his “6 Foot, 7 Foot” clip.

“Being a nominee and performer on the VMAs once again is an honor because everyone doesn’t get that opportunity,” Wayne said in a statement. The event coincides with the August 29 release of his upcoming album. “Looking forward to performing on the show, and having Tha Carter IV drop the same week!”

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards is scheduled to air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater on Sunday, August 28th at 9 pm ET/PT.
