Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger may be in the running to host the highly anticipated US version of the talent show, “X Factor”.
A source has told PEOPLE: “Nicole Scherzinger will be the show’s host.”
During a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, Simon Cowell gushed about Nicole: “I absolutely adore her. She’s gorgeous and ruthlessly ambitious.”
Scherzinger previously appeared on the UK’s version of “X Factor” as a guest judge for a few weeks and her fellow colleagues had nothing but praise to say on her behalf. UK judge Louis Walsh, who had a slight crush on her, said “This girl has the X Factor in every way. She was incredibly impressive and ticked every box”. The show’s host Dermot O’Leary added “She was hilarious.”
So far Cowell and L.A. Reid are the only confirmed judges on the show. Simon told PEOPLE in March that along with a string of other Hollywood names both Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole are also in the running to become judges.
