“True Blood” star Stephen Moyer is one lucky man. During a celebrity driving race on Friday (Apr 15), the the actor’s car flipped over but he managed to walk away unharmed.

According to the Press Telegram, during his 7th lap in the qualifying rounds of the 35h Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in Long Beach, California, the actor’s car did a 360-degree roll before landing back on its tires after sliding into the racing track’s tire barrier.

41 year old Moyer said of the incident: “I was getting quicker and quicker and quicker and I was braking later and later and later. It was total driver error. It was a surreal experience. It felt like a roller-coaster ride when my car flipped.”

However, the actor managed to snag 1st place beating fellow celebrities Kevin Jonas, Jillian Barberie Reynolds and Brian Austin Green.

Moyer was also handed a cheque for $15,000 to donate to his charity choice, Racing for Kids. In his speech he said: “I want to apologize to the rest of the drivers for ruining everyone’s qualifying session, but I really wanted to get the money for the kids,” Moyer said.
