Self confessed mummy’s boy Simon Cowell has got his poor mother in a tizz.

84-year-old Julie Cowell is worried that her famous son is running himself into the ground with his gruelling work schedule and his love for cigarettes doesn’t help either. She’s been calling and pleading with him to ease up on his work load because she’s concerned that he’ll suffer a heart attack like his father Eric, who died at the age of 81 in 1999.

The Sun is reporting that a source close to Julie has revealed:

“Simon’s mum is freaking out. His family thinks he’s doing too much and are telling him to slow down before his workload seriously damages his health. There’s no point being the richest man in the cemetery. Simon’s a workaholic but he’d need a time machine to be physically able to appear on both the American and UK versions of X Factor, all of the time.”

So why is the X Factor so important to Mr Cowell? The source continued:

“His priority this year is the launch of the American version of X Factor ‘The X Factor’ is Simon’s baby and he will still be the key decision-maker behind the scenes. It’s this show that changed his life and there is no way he could leave it behind permanently”.

For the love of TV, slow down Simon!!
