Despite previous reports of CBS looking to “re-hire” the recently fired Charlie Sheen, Charlie was hired by Warner Bros and FIRED by Warner Brothers. Which means that only Warner Bros. can bring the “winning” star back, and sources directly connected to the production state that there is simply “no chance” of that happening.
“Two And A Half Men” creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre has been holding meetings about the future of the show and possible re-casting, which Charlie will not be a part of. Sources close to the situation say that the story that CBS offered him his job back is simply bogus.
Point blank, CBS can’t rehire Sheen — period.
