It’s been speculated for some time now that Beyonce will headline the upcoming 2011 Glastonbury Festival, and now it’s been confirmed. Beyonce will headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival this summer, reports Billboard.

The Pop superstar, currently hard at work on her fourth studio album is scheduled to perform a 90-minute set on the final day of the festival.

“This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there. Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend,” says Beyonce in a statement. “I’m pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy.”

The 2011 Glastonbury Festival will take place from June 22nd to June 26th in South West England. Other names of performers being thrown around include U2 and Coldplay, though Beyonce is the only confirmed act.
