Congratulations are definitely in order for Nicki Minaj, whose debut album is #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week!
Young Money‘s first lady missed out on a #1 debut for her Pink Friday album back in November (Kanye West took the top spot), and ever since then, the platinum certified album has remained in the top 10. But after 11 weeks, “Pink Friday” has finally hit #1, selling an additional 45,000 copies to push her total sales in the U.S. past 1 million.
“We finally did it! PINK FRIDAY is the #1 Album in the United States of America!!!!! *faints* thank u sooooo much for the continued support!” the femcee tweeted earlier today.
In related news, the rapstress’ latest single “Moment 4 Life” is #1 on the Billboard Rap Chart, as confirmed by Nicki on Twitter just moments ago.
Congrats Nicki!!
