Nicki Minaj‘s debut album Pink Friday hasn’t even been out for a solid 2 months, and it has already achieved platinum status!

According to new reports, the Young Money rapper’s inaugural album “Pink Friday” has sold over 850K copies since its late November 2010 release, and has been officially certified platinum in the United States after shipping more than 1 million units. The RIAA’s website states that the the album received the certification on December 17th (less than 1 month after its release).
“Pink Friday” debuted on the Billboard 200 albums chart at #2 with over 370,000 copies sold in its first week. The album currently sits at #8 on the chart with over 60K units sold this week.
