Jay-Z and Coldplay helped the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas celebrate its grand opening at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day (Sat. Jan 1) with a live concert held inside the hotel’s Marquee nightclub.
During Jay-Z’s set, he invited Chris Martin from Coldplay and musician John Mayer to the stage, as well as rapper Kanye West to perform alongside him. Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce also sang a duet of his “Forever Young” song later in the evening. Some of the celebrity attendees at the event included Alex Rodriguez, Brandy, Taraji P. Henson, Selita Ebanks, Channing Tatum, Christina Milian and more.
