Shortly after it was announced that Eva Longoria and her husband Tony Parker were getting a divorce, the couple’s reps went on immediate damage control mode, forcing TMZ (who broke the story) to issue the following statement:
A rep for Eva Longoria tells TMZ our story that Tony Parker filed for divorce is not true. TMZ reported that Tony had filed for divorce. Two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse in Texas had told us the case was filed and sealed by a family law judge. But Eva’s rep tells us Tony did not file and does not even have a divorce lawyer. Another clerk at the courthouse now tells us she’s in charge of sealed cases and says no such case has crossed her desk.
Case closed….right? Wrong!
Even though reps for Eva Longoria tell TMZ that the divorce story is untrue, a source close to the “Desperate Housewives” star says otherwise, and that this week’s reports of her NBA star husband being unfaithful “totally and completely blindsided” her. According to a brand new report from People, Longoria plans on filling her papers as early as TODAY in an effort to end her 3-year marriage to Parker.
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker wed in 2007 at a castle in France.
So are they getting a divorce or not? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see…
