Sylvester Stallone would like to become a full-time director, and the 63-year-old actor is planning to retire from being in front of the cameras in the next few years to live out his dream of being behind the cameras in the director’s chair.
Stallone, who has written and directed lots of films over the years, says his ultimate goal is be like Clint Eastwood who also retired from acting to become a director full-time. He said:
“At this age I hear the ticking clock and it’s as loud as the gong on Big Ben (London’s famous clock tower). The ultimate ambition is to follow in Clint Eastwood’s footsteps and move on to directing films without me having to be in them. I’m on borrowed time and know my longevity will be predicted on being able to make that move.”
