Producers of NBC‘s “Saturday Night Live” caught wind of a big campaign from Justin Bieber‘s fans to get the young pop star on the popular sketch comedy show, and they announced that the Biebz will perform as SNL’s musical guest on April 10th. Justin confirmed the news via his Twitter Saturday (Feb 20), shortly after Rap-Up.com broke the story.

The teen sensation will appear as the musical guest on the April 10 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” Rap-Up.com can exclusively reveal. The late-night booking comes on the heels of other high-profile appearances including the “We Are the World” remake, presenting at the Grammys, and performing for President Obama. The hard work of Bieber’s devoted fans has paid off. Petitions circulated online to get him on the show and there was even a Twitter account @BieberOnSNL dedicated to the mission.

The 15-year-old rising pop star released his latest music video, “Baby” (f/ rapper Ludacris), over the weekend and also performed at Pop-Con 2010 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY Saturday night.
