The most lavish Indian wedding of the year is currently underway in the northwestern state of Rajasthan, as 27-year-old Isha Ambani—daughter of the country’s wealthiest man—prepares to tie the knot with businessman Anand Piramal.
While the actual ceremony won’t be held until Wednesday (Dec. 12) at the bride’s family residence in Mumbai, celebrations kicked off over the weekend at Udaipur’s City Palace.
According to Forbes, the bride’s father, Mukesh Ambani is chair of the multinational conglomerate Reliance Industries is worth more than $47 BILLION, which means that no expense was spared for Isha’s wedding—including the fact that Isha’s family booked Beyoncé to perform a private concert for her “sangeet,” which is basically a pre-wedding night of music and dance traditionally hosted by the bride’s family.

Actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas, both of whom were attendance at the weekend’s festivities in Udaipur, tied the knot last week in their own extravagant wedding ceremony.
Other celebrity guests included Bill and Hillary Clinton and well-known author Ariana Huffington.
