Remember a few weeks back when Gucci Mane lost his ever-loving mind on Twitter and lashed out at Tyga, Nicki Minaj, T.I. and others?
Yeah, apparently he was sippin’ on that sizzurp (codeine syrup) and doesn’t remember a damn thing he said or did. The real surprise, of course, isn’t that he was doing drugs. It’s that it took this long for his PR team to peddle this explanation.
In a series of tweets, Gucci Mane came clean with his addiction to codeine syrup (he refers to it as lean) and he sent out apologies to Rick Ross, Birdman, Drake and Keyshia Cole. He didn’t mention Tyga or Nicki so maybe he’s still mad at them for opting not to record that feature he was after. Or maybe he’s really ticked off that Tyga said he had HIV.

That sizzurp gave Lil’ Wayne seizures and damn near killed him. You’d think that Weezy’s near-death experiences alone would’ve been enough to deter Gucci from going down the same path.
Then again, no one ever accused Gucci of being the sharpest knife in the drawer so maybe it’s not a surprise after all that he failed to pick up on the bad news about sizzurp.
