It pretty much seems like a requirement that actors who star as romantic leads in a supernatural film or show must develop an off-screen romance.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson famously began a tumultuous four-year relationship after filming the 2008 hit “Twilight.”

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer (aka Bill and Sookie) fell for one another while auditioning for the HBO vampire series “True Blood” and letter married.

“The Vampire Diaries” stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder began dating in 2010 and split in May.

So it wasn’t surprising when reports surfaced that Lilly Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower were hooking up behind the scenes of “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.”

But alas, the stars of the supernatural romance are no longer an item, according to Us Weekly that is. A source reportedly told the mag that they pair have split but “remain very good friends.”

Since the film doesn’t open until August 21, the Lilly and Jamie will still be forced to travel the globe together to promote the film, even though the two are no longer “together.” Yet according to the source, it hasn’t been as awkward as you may expect.

“They’ve been really good about doing the press tour together for their movie,” the source claims, “They were able to stay friendly.”

The “Mortal Instruments” is based on the first book in a six-part series, so there ability to get along will come in handy if the two end up filming sequels.
