The Performances

This year’s theme for the Oscars paid tribute to musicals, and the show’s producers surely delivered with who they picked to perform for the show. The first performance of the evening was Shirley Bassey who performed “Goldfinger” for the James Bond 50th birthday tribute portion of the show.

Adele followed her with her Oscar nominated song “Skyfall” from the newest ‘James Bond’ film.

Catherine Zeta-Jones performed “All That Jazz” from “Chicago.”

And Norah Jones sang “Everybody Needs A Best Friend” from host Seth MacFarlane’s movie “Ted.”

Returning to the Oscar stage after 36 years was Barbra Streisand, who sang “The Way We Were” for the In Memoriam portion of the show.

But perhaps the best performances of the night was Jennifer Hudson’s performance of “And I’m Telling You” and the cast of ‘Les Miserables’ singing a song from the movie.
