Mariah Carey is “Almost Home” in “Oz the Great and Powerful” Theme Song

Mariah Carey‘s last single may not have been all that “Triumphant,” but with her latest single she is definitely “Almost Home.”

Today, Carey released the single “Almost Home” — the theme song for the new movie “Oz the Great and Powerful.” In the song, Carey pays tribute to a very familiar character from “The Wizard of Oz,” Dorothy, while her songbird voice soars over an upbeat tempo.

“When you’re almost there, And you’re almost home, Just open up your eyes and go. When you’re almost there, Almost home, Know you’re not alone, You’re almost home,” Carey sings.

A video accompanying the single will premiere March 8, the same day the movie hits theaters.
