Britney Spears has been slapped with a huge lawsuit over a perfume deal. According to recent reports, the “Femme Fatale” singer is being sued for $10 million dollars by former business partners for preach of contract, fraud and deceit.
Both Britney and her father Jamie Spears are being accused of cutting Brand Sense Partner, LLC out of commission owed to them on a perfume deal they brokered with Elizabeth Arden.
The deal was originally negotiated in 2003, and renegotiated last year, but the brand marketing company now claims that the new agreement is in violation with the original one they drafted 8 years ago.
The suit, filed in L.A. County Superior court this week states that Britney secretly made a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky underhanded effort to get out of adhering to her original obligations to Brand Sense.
So, in other words, Britney basically cut Brand Sense out of the deal behind their back “improperly and illegally,” and they’re pretty pissed about it.
Britney’s camp have not yet released a statement concerning the matter.
