Pop diva Britney Spears took to her Twitter yesterday (Thu. Dec 2) on her 29th birthday, and announced to her fans that she is putting the finishing touches on her new album, and it’s due to hit stores this coming March!

“Just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing birthday wishes you guys have been sending all day,” Spears tweeted. “My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here’s something that I hope will make you smile… I’m almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!”

Britney also spoke on her upcoming birthday celebration plans with her boyfriend Jason Trawick, and gave a special shout-out to a few tabloid magazines/websites that sparked a nasty story this week regarding their relationship:

Britney’s manager also spoke on the situation and says that they are pursuing legal action against Star Magazine, who first broke the story that alleges that Britney’s husband of 2-and-a-half days has audio tape of her admitting to being beat by her boyfriend Jason Trawick.

“It’s amazing that Star continues to try to defend their story by putting out more and more pieces of a fraudulent recording. Everyone knows it is not her,” Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph told US Magazine. “The more they put out, the more ridiculous they look. The lawyers are drawing up the legal papers right now; there will 100 percent be a lawsuit. We are suing.”
