Fantasia Barrino Opens Up About Her Life on VH1′s “Behind the Music”

R&B singer Fantasia Barrino‘s “Behind the Music” TV special aired Tuesday night (Aug 24) on VH1, and in the documentary, the 26-year-old entertainer talks about a number of topics, including becoming a single mother at 17 years old, winning “American Idol,” getting her G.E.D. and her recent suicide attempt where she OD’d on aspirin and sleeping pills.

    Fantasia I love you alot-you may have been through alot but you must keep your hand in GODs hand and I noice throuh out your life every time things go wrong for you you let go of gods hand. You have a good life you need to turn to God More and stop litstening to the devil everytime something goes wrong for you. God don’t make mistakes but you also can’t make him make your life decisions on your own terms. Everything that happens to you good or bad are God’s plans for you. Please remeber that God is the one who is in control of your life. I want you to continue to be the super star that we all need to see on that big tv screen.

    Know that all things work together for the good…Not some, but all things…Never allow anyone or anything to dictate you or the things you do except GOD…You have a solid foundation, utilize it.
