MUSIC VIDEO: Christina Aguilera – “Not Myself Tonight”

Pop singer Christina Aguilera looks like she’s going “Gaga” (pun intended) in her new music video for her big comeback single “Not Myself Tonight” the first offering from her upcoming fourth studio album Bionic, due in stores this June.

Remember Madonna’s 1995 video for “Express Yourself?” The one chock full of S&M references, salacious lyrics and scantily-clad dancers? And what about last year’s Lady Gaga smash “Bad Romance?” In it Gaga writhes around in patent leather, lingerie and an all-red ensemble, and a room gets set on fire.

Take each of those elements, add them together, insert Christina Aguilera, and you’ve got her new video, aptly titled, “Not Myself Tonight.” The parallel elements in all three music videos are so obvious – down to the whip a la Madonna and Gaga’s lobster claw heels – that you’ve got to wonder whether Aguilera did it on purpose.

    I didnt see any lady gaga in this. Lady Gaga could never successfully be this sexy IMO. I saw more of Madonna. I actually watched all the videos this morning = Human Nature, Express Yourself, Like a Prayer, and Celebration. It’s a modern day combination/tribute to Madonna with a less dancy, slightly more feminine twist. I dont at all see any way to compare this to Lady Gaga other than the red lengerie which was still very different. as for the Lobster shoes, those were designed by Alexander McQueen, not Lady Gaga. and the shoes Christina is wearing is nothing like those, theyre more like the shoes Beyonce’s dancers wore in ‘Greenlight’ video and ‘I Am Sasha Fierce’ promo pics.I have to say I prefer Christina over gaga anyday because I dont at all believe being freakishly weird is at all sexy. research can change one’s opinion. if u know what u are talking about, you sound less ignorant.

    People are crazy to compare Gaga to Christina Aguilera! Christinas new video is very glam S&m were as Gaga is sexy but a bit disturbing and over the edge. they are very different not only in stiles but in their voices! By the way whats the name of that male dancer in Christinas video at the end who shes all over?

    The heels are “ballet boots” rather than lobster claw, i.e. like the ones in the Beyonce (Green Light) video
