It’s a Girl for Halle Berry!

Halle Berry’s rep has confirmed that the actress gave birth to a baby girl early Sunday and “is doing great.” Doesn’t it seem lie she’s been pregant forever? Lol! Anyway, the 41-year-old Oscar winner and her model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, welcomed their first child, a 7 pound 4 ounce daughter, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. at 10:17 this morning. According to Star Magazine, the actress had checked into the hospital for the second time that day after feeling contractions earlier Saturday morning.
“Halle had come to the hospital at 4am in the morning because the felt like she was going into labor. It was a bit scary because her blood pressure was skyrocketing and everyone was a little tense. She’s a diabetic so that was complicating matters as well. The doctors checked the fetal heart rate and everything seemed okay. After a while Halle’s blood pressure came down. She wasn’t dilating anymore so at around 2:45pm they let her go home. Halle felt her contractions come on a lot more intensely later that night so she came back to the hospital at 11:00pm Saturday night. Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.” [ VIA STAR MAGAZINE ]
The couple hasn’t yet released a name for the baby. Congratulations to Halle and Gabriel!

yeah, that’s good for her because I was starting to get worried. It looked like it hurt to have the baby for so long. Congratz!!!

yeah, I think that baby will be beautiful. Hopefully she has at least a little bit of color seeing as to how she’s only 25% black lol.
oh, and i heard yesterday morning on the radio that they named the baby Nahla Arela Aubrey. (approx. spelling)
