Steve Jobs Official Cause of Death: Respiratory Arrest and Pancreatic Tumor

According to numerous reports, the official death certificate of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs shows that he died at around 3 p.m. on October 5th at his home in Palo Alto, California of respiratory arrest caused by a pancreatic tumor.

His occupation was listed as “entrepreneur” in the “high tech” business.

Tyrese and Taraji P. Henson are Re-Uniting for New John Singleton Movie!

As a collective, Tyrese and Taraji P. Henson will always be known as “Jody and Yvette from Baby Boy” … and if new reports are anything to go by, it looks like the pair are to re-unite for a second time in a new John Singleton movie!

Though details about the film (including a possible title or who else will be in it) have yet to be released, Tyrese recently revealed that it will most definitely NOT be a sequel to “Baby Boy,” which was released in 2001.

Tyrese tweeted:

“Official.. Me and my girl Taraji are doing another classic together soon.!! John Singleton will be directing us. And not it’s not BB2.”

Heavy D Performs Medley of Hits at the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Rap veteran Heavy D took it back to the old school days of Hip-Hop with his BET Hip-Hop Awards performance, which closed out the 6th annual show.

Dressed in all black, a svelte Heavy D did some smooth, choreographed dance moves as he performed a medley of his chart-topping hits, including “Nothin’ But Love,” “We Got Our Own Thing,” and “Somebody for Me,” making the audience feel like they were on a time machine that took them back to the early 90’s.

And in the middle of his set, Heavy D was joined by R&B crooner Tyrese, and the duo performed Heavy D’s 90’s club anthem “Now That We’ve Found Love.”

The 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards, hosted by comedian/actor Mike Epps, were held on October 1st in Atlanta, GA at the Civic Center, and aired on BET Tuesday night (Oct 11).

Clad in a red hoodie and jean vest combo jacket, Big Sean kicked off his BET HHAs set with “I Do It” (a song from his debut album “Finally Famous”), followed by a performance of his hit single “Marvin & Chardonnay,” featuring a guest appearance from Roscoe Dash.

Kanye West, who also appears on the song, was not in attendance at this year’s Hip-Hop Awards, and wasn’t a part of Big Sean’s performance.

Maybach Music Group‘s biggest artists — Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill — graced the stage of the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which were held earlier this month (Sat. Oct 1st) in Atlanta at the Civic Center, and aired last night (Tue. Oct 11th) on BET.

90’s R&B crooner El DeBarge, who has recently been making a comeback and popping up at almost every BET awards show, opened up the performance by singing the intro the “That Way,” which lead into Wale’s appearance, followed by fellow MMG newcomer Meek Mill, who performed his single “I’ma Boss”

With flames in the background and to much fanfare, MMG’s head honcho Rick Ross joined his artists on stage, asserting his status as a “Bawse” as he rapped along to his verse on Meek Mill’s song.

A shirtless Wiz Khalifa jumped around like a little maniac as he showed love to the “Taylor Gang” with his performance at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.

The Hip-Hop newcomer rocked a pair of skinny shorts and his signature Chuck Taylors as he chanted “Taylor,” “Gang,” “Taylor,” “Gang,” during the show that aired last night (Oct 11) on BET following its original recording in Atlanta on October 1st.

T.I. “Flexes” at the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards in His First Performance Since Prison Release

Following a grand entrance in the middle of Young Jeezy‘s performance, T.I. got the crowd amped up as he performed his new Big K.R.I.T. produced single “I’m Flexin” at the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

This particular performance served as Tip’s first televised performance since being released from prison last month.

Ironically, T.I. was arrested just fours hours before the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards outside a Walgreen’s parking lot after federal agents discovered he was purchasing an arsenal of unregistered machine guns and silencers.

The rapper recently joked that he had a “Love-Hate” relationship with the show because of that particular incident. But now, T.I. is finally out of prison and back to doing what he does best: putting on a damn good show.

The BET HHAs were held October 1st in Atlanta at the Civic Center, and the show finally aired on BET last night (Oct 11).

Jeezy kicked off the festivities with his latest single “F.A.M.E. (Fake A** Mothaf**kas Envy) and was joined by T.I., who rapped his verse on the track, and later segued into his own solo performance of his new come-back song “I’m Flexin.”

Harry Belafonte Calls Black GOP Candidate Herman Cain a “Bad Apple”

Singer and activist Harry Belafonte, who once marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has called black Republican Party candidate Herman Cain a “bad apple” who does not represent the African-American community.

Belafonte recently made an appearance on Joy Behar‘s talk show, and told her that Cain, a wealthy businessman who grew up in poverity, is not an “authority on the plight of people of color.”
