LL Cool J is back and now with some music and is releasing an album later on this year. The name of the upcoming album is titled, Exit 13 (Def Jam/G-Unit), which is supposedly due in stores July 29th. This new leaked track, “Girl If I” featuring Trey Songz, is a decent track. I like it on first listen as it grows I know I’ll be listening to it a lot more. Welcome back, Mr. G.O.A.T.

The Boston Celtics won their final game against the Detroit Pistons and now are heading to the finals to face the Lakers. The Celtics won by 8 in Game 6 in Detroit (89-81). Boston won took 4 games out the 6 to reign the title as Eastern Conference Champs. (4-2). Paul Pierce scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Kevin Garnett had 16 rebounds, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ray Allen put up 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. K.G. was excited about the win but he was exhausted from playing Detroit so hard. He responded after Game 6:
“It’s kind of surreal,” Garnett said. “Probably hasn’t even hit me yet because we haven’t slept in about four days, going on five days now. Going to the Finals, I’m just hoping to get some sleep.”
The Los Angeles Lakers won so gracefully tonight!!! I’m beyond ecstatic about this win by the Lakers! The San Antonio Spurs had a good run but it’s L.A.’s time to win some RINGS! The Lakers took 4 games out the series (4-1). The Lakers won by 7 (100-92) and became the WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! I’m so proud of the Lakers. They’ve come so far in these series and show no signs of slowing down. MVP Kobe Bryant totaled 39 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Pau Gasol racked 12 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Lamar Odom put up 13 points and 8 rebounds. Kobe vented after last night’s victory and said:
“I think it is a tremendous accomplishment,” Bryant said. “I think the West is extremely tough. We’re all extremely excited and proud about it. Now, it’s time to go on and see if we can finish it off.”
It’s been a long time coming for A-town’s own Miss Keri Hilson, her debut album, In A Perfect World (Interscope), will finally be released September 23rd of this year. The singer’s forthcoming project will include the first single, Energy, produced by The Runaways. New music from Rihanna has the web going crazy as usual. She has a new track, “Disturbia”, which will appear on her upcoming re-release of her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded. This track fits this album and the sound of the song is very techno, which we’re hearing a lot from a variety of artists. You can hear that T-Pain-ish machine in the back of Rihanna’s voice too.
