Rihanna Working with Producer Adonis for New Album
Singer Rihanna is working on a new album, in spite of all of the drama surrounding her life right now. HipHollywood.com caught up with music producer, Adonis Shropshire and talked with them about the pop singer’s new project.
“She’s doing OK,” Her producer, Adonis Shropshire, tells HipHollywood.com. “I mean, of course [with] the situation, she’s all right. “You have to remember, she’s still a kid,” Shropshire continues of the 21-year-old. “With anybody in the world that goes through something, you have to bring yourself out of it. So I guess her refuge is her music, of course, as it should be. Of course, there’s still remnants of whatever from time to time,” he goes on. “But she’s definitely trying to move forward.”
Dawn Richard Working with Diddy?
The Pussycat Dolls revealed to MTV in an exclusive interview that former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard is working with Diddy. Apparently, the Bad Boy HNIC will be forming another girl group and Dawn Richard is going to be a part of it.
“I know that Dawn is actually working with Puffy — and I probably shouldn’t say it — and another girl, and they’re going to do a group,” PCD’s Melody Thornton said. “So, big ups to you, Dawn Richard! … Kill it!”
When MTV News spoke to Richard earlier this year, she didn’t mention anything about working with Diddy or another female artist. Rather, she seemed focused on trying to pick up the pieces of Danity Kane with fellow member Aundrea Fimbres. So we decided to reach out to Richard’s management for comment on her future plans, but we were told that “at the present, we are not able to offer any comment on the matter.”
Coolio Charged with Possession of Cocaine and Battery
Following his arrest last week at LAX airport in Los Angeles, rapper Coolio has formally been charged with possession of cocaine and battery, the L.A. District Attorney’s office announced earlier today.
Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey, was arrested on March 6 at Los Angeles International Airport after police searched his luggage and allegedly found cocaine. According to police, the 45-year-old rapper allegedly grabbed a luggage screener’s arm to prevent the search.
He is charged with one felony count of drug possession and two misdemeanors, battery and possession of a smoking device and is scheduled to be arraigned on April 3. If convicted, he faces up to three years state prison.
Chris Brown and Rihanna are NOT doing a Book Tour Together
Chris Brown‘s people shot down rumors that the singer and his girlfriend Rihanna were co-authoring a book about domestic abuse together, in addition to making rounds in the television talk show circuit in a career rehabilitation effort known as “Project Mea Culpa.”
Sources close to the couple who talked to the Daily News called the rumors totally false.
“It’s completely false,” a source close to Brown said. “There is no deal for a book or campaign about abuse. There is no ‘Project Mea Culpa.’ There is no contract. It’s not true.”

Chris Brown’s Manager Tina Davis’ Text Message Started the Fight?!
Looks like another bomshell has landed on the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna saga. This sh*t is becoming a real life soap opera before our very eyes as every day passes. According to TMZ, Chris Brown’s longtime manager Tina Davis was the “mystery woman” who sent Chris Brown the 3-page text message that sparked his brutal attack on Rihanna.
Sources tell us the woman who left the three-page text message on Brown’s cell phone is Tina Davis. Davis — who turns 40 this month — was rumored to have had a relationship with Brown when he was 16. Brown and Davis have denied it. Law enforcement tells us the text message to Brown talked about hooking up later — and it totally pissed off Rihanna. She slapped and hit him and he then brutally fired back. The detective’s affidavit refers to the text message as being “from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.”
Davis could not be reached for comment.

A music industry insider tells us, “Chris called and said he needed to crash at Diddy’s house while he was recording. He said it would just be him and his mom.” In fact, Brown, who just got charged with two felonies for allegedly beating up Rihanna the night of the Grammys, brought her down and called the photographers. “Chris is a dog,” another spy said. “He’s always been so critical and nasty to Rihanna, making fun of her accent.”
T.I. and Shawty Lo Squash Beef at Club Crucial in Atlanta! (Video Included)
Atlanta rappers T.I. and Shawty Lo surprised concertgoers Friday night when the two reportedly united onstage at T.I.’s Club Crucial in Atlanta. The two have been going back and forth with diss tracks and numerous verbal jabs in interviews for over a year. Their biggest blow-out was back in November 2008 at the Dirty Awards when Tip’s crew and Lo’s crew got into two separate physical altercations during the ceremony, eventually shutting the whole thing down prematurely. But according to recent reports, the two have made up and ended the childish beef, just in time for T.I. to serve his 1-year prison sentence on weapons charges (beginning in two weeks).
“After that last altercation at the Dirty Awards, I told him my side of the story,” Lo said Sunday in his studio, located in Atlanta’s Bankhead neighborhood. “We talked for, like, 15 minutes. We decided in 2009, we’re coming into a clean slate. And he’s finnin’ to go in. What better place to do it than in Bankhead at Club Crucial? … It was unexpected,” Lo continued. “We already talked. Me being a man, I just went up there, and the crowd went crazy. They was shocked. We dapped each other as soon as I hit the stage. It was a good feeling.”

Father of pop star Rihanna, Ronald Fenty, tells a local Barbados publication that he is still waiting to speak with his daughter after learning she was allegedly attacked by singer Chris Brown.
“She is my daughter and all I have been seeing is the Internet reports. I am waiting on her to call me. I am not calling her back, and I’m not going to be speculating like everyone else,” Fenty tells Barbados Nation News. “I am going to wait patiently for her to call and let me know the truth to this whole situation, because she already knows how I feel about her relationship.”
Rihanna’s father said he has been trying to reach his daughter but every time he calls she says, “Dad, I am going to call you back.”
