Rumors began to swirl this weekend suggesting that Keyshia Cole‘s mother, Frankie Lons, was involved in a deadly car accident. Fortunately, Keyshia’s rep was able to deny the rumors, confirming that Frankie was NOT involved in a car accident and is alive and well.

“Imani Entertainment has received a huge amount of inquiries in regard to the rumor about Keyshia Cole’s biological mom, Frankie Lons, having recently passed in an automobile accident. The rumor has absolutely NO truth to it – Frankie has not been in any accident of any kind and is doing well at home in Atlanta. We want to thank all of Frankie’s fans for their concern.”

“T.I.’s Road To Redemption: The Reckoning” Postoned Due to Computer Error

If you were among the group of MTV viewers who sat in front of your tubes Tuesday night to catch the final episode of T.I.‘s Road to Redemption, you’re probably a little disappointed and wondering what the hell is going on. According to MTV News, the show’s finale has been postponed until next Tuesday, April 7th, due to a computer glitch. The episode that aired this past Tuesday was a re-run. Michael Hirschorn, an executive producer of the show, said this type of screw-up has never happened before.

“Basically, as I understand it, it’s a kind of screw-up that’s never happened before,” Michael Hirschorn, an executive producer of “Road to Redemption,” told MTV News on Wednesday (April 1). “The materials for show were collected for final assembly, everything was good and signed-off, and then the media became corrupted. It was sort of like having a file on a home computer, and the computer screws it up — only much bigger than that.”

The new “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” movie is definitely worth a look! This adaptation of the X- Men story is the best so far. All the mysteries are finally revealed in this one as director Gaven Hood takes us on a ride though the haunting and troubling past of Wolverine, explaining everything from his solid antemium core to the origins of his name, and even his unexplainable memory loss. As if answering all the cliffhanging questions about Wolverine wasn’t enough, Hood managed to intertwine the past of Wolverine with that of other mutants such as Sabertooth, Gambit, Night Crawler, Deadpool, Beak, Blob and even Cyclops.

In the issue, Wayne says the reason he’s coming out with a rock album is because he got tired of rapping. He says he’s basically grown in this “rock star” and he just had to play the part with this new album. Read below for a few snippets from the issue, courtesy of MTV News.

“Honestly? I don’t want to be the best rapper in the world,” Wayne told Rolling Stone in an upcoming cover story arriving on newsstands Friday. “If I have a rap album I’m dropping, then I want it to be the best rap album. Kelly Rowland Parts Ways with Columbia Records

It was officially announced Wednesday that R&B singer Kelly Rowland will no longer be recording under Columbia Records as a solo artist. Rowland cites the need to explore new directions, challenges and freedoms outside of her own comfort zone as main reason for the amicable departure with the label.

“Because Columbia Records has been my home base as an artist for more than a decade, the decision to move out on my own required a lot of soul-searching,” said Kelly Rowland. “As a solo artist, I felt the need to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone and my friends and family at Columbia have been incredibly understanding about my evolution. I want to thank everyone at Columbia for the love and support they’ve shown and I will never forget how many good times we’ve had over the years.”

Rowland will continue her relationship with Columbia Records as a member of Destiny’s Child.

Andre 3000 Arrested for Speeding in Atlanta

Andre "3000" Benjamin Mugshot Your boy Andre Benjamin got himself a free, all expense paid trip to Henry County Jail after he was arrested for speeding this weekend in his home state of Georgia.

Authorities say the Outkast rapper was doing 109 mph in a 65 mph zone, which was identified as a suburban highway in Atlanta. After he was booked and took his mugshot pic, he was released on $1,200 bail.

Police say Andre told them his reason for speeding was because he missed his exit and had to turn around. His car of choice? A Porsche! No wonder he was zoomin, haha.

We haven’t heard from this dude since back in ’07 when he was reminding us why he was hot. Then he just disappeared. But now, apparently … he’s back. We did a little research and found out he’s coming out with an album titled Guilt, and it has a street release date of April 7th. Not sure if the date has changed or not, but we find it rather strange how there’s no music video out for this dude yet…
