Aretha Franklin won’t be walking down the aisle with her fiance Willie Wilkerson after all.
The Queen of Soul’s rep released a statement this morning revealing that the couple have called off their wedding.
“Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time. We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends.”
The wedding was being planned out for this summer and the couple were even considering tying the knot on a private yacht at Miami Beach
Hopefully things are still kosher between these two.
