Kim Porter’s family has finally broken their silence on her sudden and untimely death.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who fathered three children with Porter, addressed her tragic death for the first time with a touching video and message on social media.

The video shows him and Kim doing a maternity photo shoot with Essence magazine in December 2006 when Kim was pregnant with their twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

The hip-hop mogul captioned the video with a somber message that read: “For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much.”

Diddy continued: “Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SH*T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love”

Kim and Diddy dated off and on for 13 years before breaking up for good in 2007, however, they remained close friends for the sake of their three children together—Christian Combs (born in 1998) and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James (2006). Diddy also took in Kim’s oldest son, Quincy Brown (from her relationship with Al B. Sure), as his own at a young age.

Quincy also posted a message on Instagram about his late mother, saying: “I am broken…& the only thing that makes sense right now is that you were way too good for this silly world we live in. I love you so much MOMMY. Please give Mee-Maw the biggest hug and kiss for me.”

Quincy’s biological father, Kim’s first baby daddy, also paid tribute to Kim on Instagram by sharing a throwback photo and a short message: a broken heart emoji and the hashtag “#ForeverMyLady.”

Kim was found dead at her home Thursday (Nov. 15) from complications stemming from either pneumonia or the flu. While officials told the media they don’t suspect foul play, the Los Angeles Coroner has called for an “additional investigation” into Porter’s death at age 46.
