Swae Lee (Of Rae Sremmurd)
Swae Lee, one half of the energetic Hip Hop duo known as Rae Sremmurd, will be performing tonight at the BET Awards sans his real life older brother Slim Jimmy. As we previously mentioned, Lee will be joining French Montana for a performance of their collab single “Unforgettable.”
SZA
Solána Imani Rowe, better known as her stage name SZA, will make her BET Awards debut tonight by performing her hit single “Love Galore,” which features Travis Scott. We don’t know if Travie will be joining her on stage though because his name isn’t listed as a performer for tonight, but you never know!
Kamasi Washington
Kamasi Washington is a jazz saxophonist, best known for playing saxophone on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly. Washington, who put out his own album, The Epic, in 2015, also contributed his skills as a musician to Kendrick’s latest album Damn. He is one of many artists slated to perform tonight at the 2017 BET Awards.
Roman Gianarthur
You may not be familiar with the name Roman GianArthur, who is scheduled to perform tonight, but you are familiar with the artists from the musical collective he’s a part of — Janelle Monae’s Wondaland, which also includes the incomparable Jidenna. (FYI: GianArthur was featured on Jidenna’s Grammy-nominated single “Classic Man”).
