Mary J. Blige is nominated for two BET Awards tonight — Best Female/R&B Pop Artist and the BET Centric Award for “Thick Of It.”
Blige — who has been all over the gossip blogs this past year thanks to her impending divorce over her husband’s infidelity — is a recent addition to the list of performances, so we don’t know too much about it, but we expect her to pick at least one single from her latest album Strength of a Woman.
Trey Songz
R&B crooner Trey Songz is currently promoting his seventh studio album Tremaine the Album, as well as the project’s lead single “Nobody Else But You,” so it wouldn’t surprise us one bit if he performed that. Songz is up for one awards tonight, Best Male/R&B Pop Artist.
Tamar Braxton
Though Tamar Braxton is still working on her fifth studio album, the R&B has decided to give us a preview of what to expect from the project tonight at the 2017 BET Awards. She’s been heavily promoting (and performing) the album’s lead single “My Man,” which she debuted on her family’s hit reality series Braxton Family Values, so she’ll probably take to the stage with that song.
