There are just two short months left until “Empire” makes it big return to our TV screens, and Fox has released the very first promo for Season 2 to whet fans’ appetites.
The theme of “Empire’s” second season is “new music, new money, new power” and the first teaser trailer shows just that.
Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is seen taking charge of the family business while Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is in jail. Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), looking her usual fabulous/fierce self, pays Lucious a visit in jail. And Boo Boo Kitty (Grace Gealey) looks like she’s still up to no good.
As for the music, Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) is in the studio, Jamal performs a “#FreeLucious” concert and there’s a teaser scene showing Cookie with a mic in her hand.
Expect more surprises, as well as cameos from folks like Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and others.
