Nas experiences the ups and downs of fatherhood as he reminisces on raising his daughter in the music video for his new single “Daughters.”
The track, produced by No I.D., is a cut from Nas’ upcoming album “Life Is Good” (due out July 17th), and the video, directed by Chris Robinson, features numerous appearances from Nas’ own 17-year-old daughter Destiny, whose perspective the entire video is shown from.
“I think that this song for Nas is so personal, everything in the song is real, that he wanted to share this moment with his fans, with the world, and it was actually his suggestion,” Chris Robinson revealed to MTV News. “I was ready to cast someone, and he was real calm and said, ‘Hey, Dest is gonna be here, I think we need to keep it real.'”
