Bobby Brown hasn’t put out an album in well over a decade, but that’s about to change with this year’s release of his fifth studio album. And the first single from the project, which is his first album since 1997’s “Forever,” is a song called “Don’t Let Me Die.”
According to Billboard, the R&B singer will also make various TV appearances later this month to promote his new single and his new album “The Masterpiece,” which is due to be released on June 5th.
Speaking on his new project, Brown — who wants to “bridge the gab between good old R&B and R&B of today” — said in a press release:
“I simply wanted to create a body of work that will take listeners on a musical journey … The style of music that will allow people to get in touch with their highs and lows and their joys and pain of living through song.”
Bobby Brown has had an enormous amount of media attention and scrutiny placed on him in the months following the death of his ex wife Whitney Houston, so it will definitely be interesting to see how the public takes to the release of this new album.
