Reps for Bobbi Kristina are shooting down rumors claiming that Whitney Houston‘s only child is engaged.
When Bobbi Kristina and her “adopted brother” Nicholas Gordon — who she’s dating now — were spotted walking around in Atlanta holding hands and kissing, we — and the rest of the world for that matter — noticed a huge ring on her engagement ring finger.
However, reps for the 19-year-old say that she and Nicholas are NOT engaged, and the ring she’s wearing is from her mother’s jewelry collection.
“She is just wearing her mom’s ring,” a source told People.
Meanwhile, friends of Bobbi K told TMZ that they were totally shocked when they found out she was and Nicholas were dating and living together.
According to our sources, Bobbi broke the news to her friends at a BBQ this week … and no one believed it until the two kissed in front of everyone. We’re told one friend felt the “relationship” was the result of each of them taking the death of Whitney too hard … but they both brushed off that notion.
The “sources” say the rest of the BBQ was a bit awkward (obviously) and everyone just tried to change to subject.
And while her grandmother Cissy Houston is calling what she and Nick are doing “incest,” Bobbi K doesn’t feel that way because she and Nick aren’t actually related.
Bobbi couldn’t care less — telling friends … she doesn’t give a damn about what Cissy thinks about her controversial relationship … and because Nick’s not her blood brother, she definitely doesn’t consider it incest.
As one source put it — Bobbi “can’t please everyone, so she is going to please herself by doing what she wants to do for once.”
