Demi Moore was reportedly rushed to a Los Angeles area hospital Monday night after she collapsed and went into an epileptic seizure.
According to close sources, the 49-year-old actress — who has become frighteningly thin since announcing her split from estranged husband Ashton Kutcher — is currently being treated for anorexia, and she is also seeking help for her issues with substance abuse.
“She collapsed after having an epileptic seizure,” a source tells Radar Online. “Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure. She has not taken care of her health at all lately and has lost a ton of weight.”
An emergency medical responder told E! News that a female friend was at Moore’s home when the actress started “shaking” and “acting like she was suffering from a seizure.”
Early Tuesday morning when it was first reported that Demi was rushed to the hospital, the actress announced in a statement that she was seeking professional help “to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.”
Sources who saw Moore as recently as last week tell E! News that the actress has been looking increasingly thin, and we hear that friends were concerned about her weight.
Friends of the actress are said to be very concerned about her weight, and sources who saw her as recently as last week say that she has been looking increasingly thin.
As a result of her emergency treatment, Moore’s reps say that she will be pulling out of the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic “Lovelace,” in which she was set to play Gloria Steinem.
