Becoming an overnight internet sensation isn’t easy. Just ask Rebecca Black, who had to be YANKED from school due to her suffering constant harassment from her peers.

After her song Friday became an instant hit (receiving over 100 million views) on YouTube, the singer began to encounter unwanted attention at school.

“When I walk by they’ll start singing ‘Friday’ in a really nasally voice … Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'”, she explained recently to ABC News.

Georgina Marquez Kelly, Black’s mother, has confirmed that she has pulled her daughter out of school due to the constant harassment as she believes it will give the 14-year-old the opportunity to concentrate on her career.

Don’t worry about your peers too much Rebecca. They just be hatin!
