The 26-year-old forward proposed with a 20.5-carat custom-designed Lorraine Schwartz ring, telling PEOPLE
“I just knew I wanted it to be big.”
Of the engagement, 30-year-old Kim says:
“I didn’t expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
The two started dating only six months ago after meeting in November. This will be Kim’s second marriage. She was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000-2004.
