Katie Couric is ready to do her own thing…
According to sources, the 54 year-old reporter will be making the announcement very soon that she will be leaving the “CBS Evening News.”
Instead of her post as the night time news anchor, Couric will be launching her own syndicated show in 2012.
No official date has been set for her departure … but her contract is up on June 4th.
