George Lopez says he’s sorry for comparing actress Kirstie Alley to a pig.
On Wednesday night’s episode of his late-night talk show “Lopez Tonight,” the TV funnyman joked that the actress did a nice job on Dancing with the Stars with her “little hooves tapping away.”
“Before the show she went to the market, and then she had roast beef, and this is her going all the way home,” Lopez said right before he showed a clip of a pig with its head hanging out the window of a car.
But now, George Lopez has eaten a big ol’ slice of humble pie and has apologized for his remarks.
“I misjudged the joke,” Lopez tweeted Thursday. “No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie.”
Alley, who earned a score of 23 for her cha-cha on Monday night’s episode of the show, didn’t seem to care about George’s disparaging comments. The next day she tweeted:
“Just remember what happens to the big bad, drunk woolf [sic] …falls in a boiling pot of vodka. Piggy laughs.”
