First they hock the surveillance tape … now this?

According to published reports, the publicist for Kamofie & Co., the jewelery company accusing Lindsay Lohan of snatching their flimsy $2,500 necklace, recently contacted Sharlene Martin, a literary agent, and stated that his clients, the owners of Kamofie, wanted to do a book deal.  Martin responded to the agent’s request by telling him the necklace incident “was a moment, not a book.”

Martin, who specializes in crime-related books, told the publicist:

“You shouldn’t waste any literary agent’s time.  Call the Enquirer if you want.”

$40,000 for the surveilance tape, endless amounts of free publicity, and now this. For a store that’s supposed to be playing the “victim” here, Kamofie & Co. are sure making out like a bunch of bandits. SMH…
