Finally, Mel Gibson has some good news to share with the world.
The “Braveheart” actor’s 30-year-old daughter Hannah recently gave birth to a baby boy … her 3rd child with blues singer husband, Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
UsMagazine.com is reporting that Gibson left his Catholic church in Malibu early Sunday (Mar 13) to spend time with his new grandson. According to a friend, the troubled actor was “overwhelmed with emotion. He gets that way around babies. … He was overjoyed.”
Last week Gibson hit the headlines for pleading no contest to a misdemeanor battery charge. Under the terms of Mel’s plea agreement, Gibson will not have to serve any jail time. However, he must perform 16 hours of community service with a philanthropic organization, Mending Kids, and undergo 52 weeks of court ordered counseling.
In addition to all of that, Mel is required to have only “peaceful contact” with his baby mother Oksana Grigorieva. Mel was also placed on 36 months informal probation in addition to being hit with a protective order that gives Oksana the right to record their phone calls.
