It seems that in one area of his turbulent life troubled actor Charlie Sheen is sober and has the ability to talk some sense. In a recent interview with our friends over at PopEater.com, the former “Two and a Half Men” star confirmed that he does not want any more children.

He told the site’s gossip columnist Rob Shuter:

“I can’t seem to keep the one’s I already have! So no, I don’t want anymore kids.”

Say what you want about Charlie, but his parenting skills are yet to be publicly called into question. A source close to the actor spoke out for him, saying that he is, indeed, a “good father.”

“You can say whatever you want about Charlie, but he is a good father,” a very close friend of the actor told me on Wednesday. That isn’t to say things aren’t very complicated at this moment. His second wife, Denise Richards, has full custody of their two daughters, Sam and Lola, and he has praised her on many occasions. But the same can’t be said about Bob and Max’s mom.

“If Charlie wasn’t so concerned with Brooke’s mothering skills and her addictions, he would be more than happy to let her have full custody, just as Denise does with his daughters,” an insider tells me.

According to my source, it would be “fine with him” if he only saw his sons every other week, but “he can’t stand by and allow them to live with someone he doesn’t think is a good parent.”

Charlie is currently locked in a bitter custody battle with his now 3rd ex-wife, Brooke Mueller with whom he shares his 2 year old twin sons Bob and Max. He also shares two daughters – Sam and Lola – with actress Denise Richards and is father to 25 year old Cassandra.

We just hope all of this mess gets cleaned up real quick for the sake of the children!
