Don’t let her beautifully innocent face fool you…. Katie Holmes don’t play that!
The wife of Hollywood icon Tom Cruise just filed a massive $50 million libel lawsuit against American Media Inc., the publishers of “Star” magazine, after the recent release of a cover which insinuated Holmes to be a drug addict.
The rather disturbing headline read, “ADDICTION NIGHTMARE – Katie DRUG SHOCKER! – The Real Reason She Can’t Leave Tom”, which is in stark contrast to the actual article that does NOT allege any drug use by Katie.
Sources allege that Katie feels the suggestive cover is deliberately defamatory and is libelous on its own.
Holmes’ lawsuit states,
“[Katie] has no intention of leaving her husband, and is not prevented from doing so by any drug addiction.”
Katie’s attorney went on to tell TMZ:
“Star Magazine’s malicious claims about Katie are untrue, unethical and unlawful. Not only do they cruelly defame Katie, they play a cheap trick on the public, making ridiculously false claims on the cover unsupported by anything inside. Someone should bring a class action to get all buyers their money back.”
That’s right Katie! You show those lying bastards who’s boss!
