Charlie Sheen’s “Two and Half Men” co-star Jon Cryer says he’s not in contact with Charlie, and gets his updates on the actor just like everyone else ….. on the Internet! Cryer recently made an appearance on the Conan O’Brien Show last week and joked about his associate’s current “situation.”

“The stuff you hear is just unbelievable,” he said. “I’m checking TMZ – as I do every day to see if I have to go to work at all – and there is a story: they found Charlie’s car… at the bottom of a cliff. So you’re thinking, ‘Wow, sure hope Charlie’s OK”.

Cryer says you can’t believe EVERYTHING you read on the Internet though, because sometimes the facts get all screwed up.

“He comes into work and it’s like, ‘Hey, Charlie. How’s it going, man?’ And you’re checking for scratches – because my mind had come up with this whole thing that he’d crashed the car and then clawed his way back up the cliff.and he said, ‘I’m doing OK, except that somebody stole my car and ran it off a cliff last night.'”

Cryer, who plays Sheen’s brother on “Two and a Half Men” reportedly makes $550,000 per episode on the CBS comedy series. And even though Charlie is holding up the show’s production, we hear that Cryer and Angus T. Jones, who plays Charlie’s nephew “Jake,” will likely get paid whether or not they’re working, however the show’s crew will not since they’re considered “freelance workers.”

Sounds like Charlie Sheen isn’t the only one who has it made in the shade……his co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones do too! Must be nice…
