NBC has officially pulled the plug on the J.J. Abrams crafted drama “Undercovers.”
Last week, the network announced that they would not be picking up a second season (or ordering anymore episodes for this season) due to failing ratings. The show’s pilot episode attracted over 8.5 million viewers in late September, however more recent episodes have only been pulling in less than 6 million viewers.
“Undercovers” starred Boris Kodkjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a couple of retired spies who, after getting married, are recruited back into the CIA.
5.8 million people watched last Wednesday’s episode of “Undercovers” and NBC has confirmed that three more episodes are due to air at some point in the remaining season, but no dates have been set just yet.
