Rapper Kanye West has been making a series of random, surprise appearances lately. And early Friday morning at around 1:30 AM, he held an intimate “secret show” along with singers John Legend and Estelle, and rappers Pusha T and Consequence (all affiliates of West) at Manhattan, NYC’s popular nightspot The Box.
Late Thursday night an e-mail was sent to a select 200 individuals alerting them that Kanye would be holding a function. The message didn’t offer many details, other than the requirement that all attendees MUST wear formal attire (guys had to be suited and booted and the gals had to wear gowns/dresses), making this surprise event a black tie affair of sorts.
At the secret black-tie concert, West treated the exclusive guests to a 90-minute show that featured new tracks from his upcoming album (due for release in the fall), including the fan favorite “Mama’s Boy” and tracks from his past albums, including “Say You Will” (which he added a HILARIOUS free-style about his ex girlfriend Amber Rose and her “new” lover).
