Rap newcomer Nicki Minaj doesn’t have a single studio album under her belt, yet that didn’t stop her from scoring a nomination for “Best New Artist” at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. And that also didn’t stop her from being able to take part in the official VMA promotional campaign!
The Young Money rapper recently expressed her excitement to Entertainment Weekly:
“I don’t even have my album out and I’m part of the freakin’ promo!” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “Basically, they’re documenting my rise and paralleling that with my journey, literally, to the VMAs.”
